As a kid, my first bike was a Huffy from Sears. Dad had worked his ass off to buy me that bike and also to keep my brother and I out of trouble. We gradually got hooked and when are friends the “Colados” invited us out to race bikes we instantly fell in love with BMX racing. Believe it or not I raced. Like I said, Dad worked his ass of in order to keep his boys busy and away from the gangs.
During the pandemic I was looking for a big boy BMX bike. For two years I couldn’t find one. They became all the craze during the Covid 19 Lock Down but the truth about this 29er bike culture is that it’s been around for a long time. Who knew? I had no idea but at 6’1 250 lbs it was time to get back on a bike and ride like the wind. My search for a bike that fit me took me two years.
